A little problem here. I work at a payday loan place and my boss has called the banks?

ashley b asked:

and pretended to be the person with the bank acount to check their balance because they hadn’t paid us. One time she even called the bank and asked to change their(a customer) pin number so she could see if funds were available…I don’t agree with this…it is against the law, what do I do? I need the $ but can’t keep breaking the law! Even if I do find another job(trying right now) should I turn my former place of employment in?

I’ve heard about this. I actually think the person @ the bank is at fault for giving the info, but it seems like your boss would have the “secret” info to get into their accounts.

Google “whistleblower” law. You can make money.

This is highly highly highly illegal!

I would keep some sort of physical record of this happening. A piece of proof that would hold up in court. Report this finding to your boss’ boss — go as high up in the company as you can with your proof. DO NOT let go of your proof. Make copies of it somehow. Hand over one copy to the higher up and keep the other in your hands.

Someone will get fired, if it is you, you still have your proof and can sue the hell out of them. If it is her, you keep your job and can sleep at night with peace of mind.

I dont see how your boss would be able to do this. I think whatever teller your boss got on the phone may have made a mistake by giving up the information. If thats not the case, definately report your boss. You are protected under the Whistleblowers act.

This is committing FRAUD..a crime punishable by imprisonment! No job is worth going to prison! Turn your boss in!
